Parley Anderson is a Native Nevadan, and has lived in Reno for the last 22 years. He attended the University of Nevada, where he received a Bachelor’s in Education. He also attended graduate school as well as UNR, where he also taught Personal Health and Lifestyles and directed the University’s Fitness Center. He then attended the University of Pacific where he earned both a Master’s and a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy. He’s been a practicing physical therapist for 12 years. Currently owns Active Physical Therapy, which opened up 4 1/2 year ago.
Parley’s physical therapy experience includes one year experience in spine care working at the Sierra Regional Spine Institute. In the past he was involved in Physical Therapy Practices which has opened up offices in Fernley, Silver Springs, Carson City, and Reno, Nevada. In his current practice (Active Physical Therapy), he specializes in treatment of the spine, as well as focusing on evidence-based medicine and preventative health care. In the spring of 2009 he began teaching at the University of Nevada, as a Professor of Kinesiology. Dr. Anderson is also a Certified Crossfit Instructor.

Michael Spevak has been practicing physical therapy for the past thirteen years. He attended the University of California, San Diego where he received a Bachelor’s in Physiology and Neuroscience. He then attended Pennsylvania State University, Slippery Rock where he earned a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy. Michael completed clinical training at Stanford University Medical Center in the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Department, as well as Duke University Medical Center in the Rehabilitation Department. In the past, he worked at Reno Orthopedic Clinic as a physical therapist. He was a part owner of a group of physical therapy practices in Northern Nevada called Physical Therapy Partners of Nevada. Currently, he is the owner of his own practice, Active Physical Therapy. Michael specializes in Orthopedic injuries including: the knee, shoulder and spine. In the spring of 2009, he began teaching at the University of Nevada, as an instructor of Kinesiology.
